HISTORY
Even before their official debut, Super Junior was a hot topic over the Internet. News broke about SM Entertainment's unprecedented plans of forming a large 12 member group. Rumors about the identity of the members as well as the group's name circulated for months. For awhile, many speculated that they were going to be known as "Common Ground." Another speculation claimed that the band was going to be called "O.V.E.R" (Obey the Voice for Each Rhythm).
Super Junior made their first television appearance as a group on SBS Inki Gayo on November 6, 2005 as a 12 member group. The group performed its first single, "TWINS (Knock Out)". "TWINS (Knock Out)" and "You are the One" were released online on November 11, 2005. A single was scheduled to be released in November but a more complete album was released on December 7, 2005 instead.
In December 2005, Super Junior collaborated with another popular boy band, TVXQ. Together they released a single
titled "Show Me Your Love."
On May 23, 2006 SM Entertainment announced the addition of a new member, Cho KyuHyun. KyuHyun became the
youngest member, as well as the 12th Korean in the group. The new 13 membered group released its new look and its newest single "U" online on May 25, 2006. "U" became a success and enjoyed the #1 spot on music programs for the very first time in the group's career. Followed, soon
thereafter, by the release of "Endless Moment" on May 29, 2006. On July 23rd, 2006, Super Junior started promoting their new song, "Dancing Out" from the 2006 SMTOWN summer album.
Aside from music programs, they could be also seen in dramas. In "대결! 슈퍼주니어의 자작극," Super Junior have wrote, produced, and acted. The subject matters of the drama were the top three choices of the viewers. The mini-series soon
became popular among his fans. Their busy schedule was briefly interrupted when Hee Chul fractured his femur in a car accident, but the group managed to restart fairly quickly. However, because their single "Dancing Out" was a summer single, they had their "Goodbye Special" (performing their last singles "U" and "Dancing Out" for the last time) on SBS's "Inki Gayo" on September 3, 2006. Until the release of their sophomore album, the members will be seen on televisions or
heard on radios individually.

Trivia: Is the leader and the oldest of Super Junior. He was the first member of Super Junior that was accepted into SM Entertainment.
His name change from Park Jungsu to a stage name was explained on "Happy Together Friends" - he wanted a name like Kangta, Hyesung or Junjin, thus he decided to change his name to Leeteuk (or Eeteuk), which means "special", because he is a "special guy". Rumours had it that Park Jungsu had a crush on Jang Nara for three years, but it was proven to be fake. He has MCed for M!Countdown with Kangin and Shindong. Said to be the member with the most interest in the opposite sex. Leeteuk got lasik (laser eye surgery), now he wears lensless glasses for fashion.

Han Geng is the only non-Korean Super Junior member, in fact he is Chinese. He can understand and speak Korean well, but he pretends not to understand when other members criticize him. Sometimes he isn't able to appear on certain Korean shows due to problems with his VISA. He used
to live with Heechul and Kibum in a separate dorm from the other members. His idol is Andy Lau; he also admires Wang Leehom and Jang Donggun, and listens to Jay Chou and Fan Yi Chen. Due to the fact that his real name was the same as a very established and famous Korean comedian, SM Entertainment issued him a stage name. He is a very close friend with Xiah Junsu from DBSK and went to the same elementary, middle school together. He was in the "2002 Survival Audition HeeJun vs. KangTa Battle of the Century". He has an older sister and his dog's name is Choco. Before the debut of TVXQ and Super Junior, Eunhyuk, Sungmin, and Xiah Junsu of TVXQ were put into a R&B group called "Daeneb" (pronounciation), but it fell through. Nicknamed "Simba" by Kim Heechul. Siwon learnt Chinese to act in a drama; he talks to Han Kyung in Chinese, whereas the latter replies in Korean to practice their skills. Choi was discovered by the Starlight Casting System in 2003 and debuted as a member of Super Junior in 2005. However, he was first officially seen in a music video for fellow label-mate Dana when she was still a solo singer. He quickly emerged as one of the highly visible members, seen on many variety shows, although he has not been of the main vocalists. Although his current focus is the group, Choi has also continued his acting career: shortly after Super Junior's debut, he joined the cast for the Korean drama mini-series Spring Waltz. He has also been part of the epic film Battle of Wits with Hong Kong actor Andy Lau. Battle of Wits is a big budget film with joint collaboration from South Korea, China, and Japan, and was released in China and Hong Kong on November 23, 2006; it is due for release in Korea sometime in 2007. On February 2006 Ryeowook lost a shoe on stage while performing but he did not panic, he merely waited for the right time to pick it up. Very professional. Ryeowook loves ice cream and free make-up samples. He is the third youngest member of Super Junior. Ryeowook is currently studying in Inha University under the Department of Drama and Cinema. He is one of the members of trio Super Junior - K.R.Y.
